Trailers are typically exposed to outdoor elements, including water, both the trailer and the tracker can be susceptible. However, our proposed device’s sturdy and water-resistant IP67-rated casing ensures that adverse conditions like moisture, corrosion, or dust won’t disrupt its functionality.
Conventional vehicle tracking relies on an external power source to operate the GPS tracker as intended. Once the truck or lorry detaches from the trailer at a parking location, disconnecting the external power source triggers our device to enter ‘Power Off Sleep Mode,’ conserving power consumption.
With configurable settings, the device awakens every 4 hours to transmit periodic location data of the trailer. This enables the trailer owner to precisely track its whereabouts. If any movement, ignition, or external power source connection is detected, the tracker promptly activates and alerts the designated personnel of a potential threat.
